Counseling Resources

A component of the guidance program is to assist students as they face issues and resolve problems that may arise as they transition through life. The counselor works with the administration to provide guidance in:

  • driving safety
  • alcohol/substance abuse prevention
  • social skills
  • positive mental and spiritual health
  • conflict mediation
  • dealing with loss

This is accomplished through:

  • individual counseling
  • small-group counseling
  • classroom presentations
  • collaboration with community and church agencies

Students may be referred to the counselor by themselves, parent/guardian, teachers, administrators, friends/classmates, or an agency.
